The Fish Room
Where systems are built, tested, and observedThis is the heart of Coral Coven, a dedicated space for long-term reef systems, experimentation, coral growth, and husbandry at scale. Every tank here serves a purpose: testing equipment, refining techniques, and growing healthy corals.
Active Reef Systems
Multiple saltwater systems ranging from display reefs to grow-out tanks, each maintained with stability, redundancy, and data tracking in mind.
Experimentation & Testing
Lighting schedules, flow patterns, nutrient strategies, and equipment are continuously tested here before being recommended or scaled.
Coral Propagation
Select corals are grown, fragged, and observed long-term with an emphasis on resilience, coloration, and sustainable reef keeping.
Home Reef Lab
In addition to the reef systems, the fish room includes a dedicated home lab used for testing, diagnosis, and long-term system stability. This space supports controlled experimentation, precise dosing, and early identification of issues before they impact the tanks.
Chemical and elemental supplements are stored and managed here using reef moonshiner-style methodologies, allowing for targeted element adjustments.
A microscope is used to identify and diagnose issues that cannot be confirmed visually, including algae, dinoflagellates, and other microscopic organisms. This approach has been critical for selecting appropriate treatment paths and was instrumental in successfully resolving an early LCA dinoflagellate outbreak
Detailed tank breakdowns, live camera feeds, and build logs are coming soon.
